Floye Minor Smith
Floye Minor Smith of Tammie Trail, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Sanford Minor and Augusta Florence Wright Minor, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, May 13, 1917. She died at 11:00 A.M., Sunday, April 20, 2003, in Louisville. Age: 85She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church, where she attended the Amona Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Taylor County Historical Society and the Hiestand House Museum. She was a bookkeeper for Caulk Lumber and other Caulk businesses for fourteen years.She united in marriage to David Hiestand Mitchell October 29, 1939.She united in marriage to Howard Smith, owner of Taylor County Stockyards, October 25, 1959. He preceded her in death June 2, 1972. She is survived by one daughter, Betty Jane Gorin-Smith and her husband, Gordon Smith of Campbellsville; one grandson and one granddaughter, Mark Alan Gorin and his wife, Deborah of Carmel, Indiana and Beth Gorin Cox and her husband, Todd of Hendersonville, Tennessee; four great-granddaughters: Katherine Cody Gorin and Diana D
