Lester L. Cox
Lester L. Cox of Campbellsville, son of the late Deward Cox and Mamie Farmer Cox, was born in Marion County, Kentucky, November 28, 1926. He died at 7:42 P.M., Monday, April 6, 2009, in Campbellsville. Age: 82
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He was a retired mail carrier with the United States Postal Service.
He united in marriage to Ruth J. Gore December 6, 1946. She preceded him in death December 31, 2007.
He is survived by two sons: Larry G. Cox and Donald Cox of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Lorna Bush and husband, Greg and Benjamin T. Cox and wife, Shannon of Campbellsvile and Renee Cox of Columbia; three great-grandchilcren: Tyler Bush, Molly Bush and MaKenzie Adkins of Campbellsville; two brothers: Haskel Cox and Vernon Cox of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Donna Wise Cox August 18, 2002 and two brothers, Jimmy Cox and Harold Cox.
