Marie Smothers
Marie Irene Smothers, 90, of Campbellsville, died Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at Taylor Regional Hospital after an illness.
She was the daughter of the late Willie and Bessie Sullivan. She was preceded in death by her husbands Omer Pike, Shrive Akin, and Merle Smothers, three daughters Mary Ann Clark, Katherine Pike and Nellie Jean Webb, one step brother Leo Sullivan. She was a member of First General Baptist.
She is survived by her two sons and spouses, Kenneth and Sharon Pike of Knifley, Melvin and Maxine Pike of Campbellsville, two daughters and spouses, Edna Mae and Bobby Read, Opal and Paul Judd both of Campbellsville, three step sons, Dean Smothers, Louis Smothers, and Danny Smothers and three step daughters, Pat Dile, Jenna Fay Dile, and Judy Smothers, one sister, Juanita Wise of Campbellsville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM, Saturday, August 8, 2009 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home with burial in Green River Memorial.
Family request visitation 5-8 PM, Friday, August 7, 2009 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home.
