Bro. Carl Read
Bro. Carl Thomas Read of Gratz, Kentucky, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late Claude Read and Millie Gilpin Read, was born January 26, 1941, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 11:30 P.M., Tuesday, November 24, 2009 in Owenton, Kentucky. Age: 68
He professed faith in Christ and was minister at Mt. Zion Baptist Church several years, a former pastor of Gratz Baptist Church, a former member of the Hiram Masonic Lodge #4 Famp;AM, a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels, and a member of Promise Keepers.
He united in marriage to Cindy Reed January 10, 1970.
Besides his wife of 39 years, Cindy Read, he is survived by his children: Tim, Carla, and Christie; three grandchildren: Katherine, Stephen, and Thomas; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Archie, Kenneth, and Walter.
