Roy Elwood Porter of Finley, son of the late Roy Porter and Winnie Sanders Porter, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky November 22, 1945. He died at 5:10 A.M., Monday, May 24, 2010 in Finley. Age: 64
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church.
He was a retired employee in the Thread Rolling Department at Parker-Kalon Company.
He united in marriage to Joyce C. Moore January 23, 1965.
Besides his wife, Joyce C. Porter of Finley, he is survived by two sons and three daughters: Shelia Snow and husband, Travis of Donansburg, Angela Brady and husband, William and Gary Porter and Heavenly Sallee of Campbellsville, Dale Porter and wife, Cynthia of Springfield and Connie Lawson and husband, Mark of Finley; nine grandchildren; special friend, Kaden Sallee; three brothers and one sister: G. W. Porter and wife, Faye of Campbellsville, Sue Sallee and husband, David of Lebanon, Ronald “Sam” Porter and wife, Patricia of Campbellsville and Randall Porter and wife, Brenda of Finley; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Wooldridge.
