James H. Daugherty, 88
James H. Daugherty of Campbellsville, formerly of Laurel, Mississippi, son of the late E. L. Daugherty and Mary Etwol Lemmon Daugherty, was born in Rockville City, Iowa, August 6, 1921. He died at 10:26 P.M., Sunday, June 6, 2010, in Campbellsville. Age: 88
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Highland Baptist Church in Laurel, Mississippi.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Air Force.
He was a retired employee of Tennessee Gas Transmissions Company.
He united in marriage to Virginia “Sis” Curry in 1949. She preceded him in death August 21, 1995.
He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Dennis Crabtree of Laurel, Mississippi; one sister and one brother and sister-in-law: Christine Meader of Campbellsville and Bert and Sylvia Daugherty of North Carolina; three nieces: Mary Edith Bland of Campbellsville, Dani Sue Daugherty and Dawn Angel of North Carolina and many other friends.
