Nolan Richard “Dick” Jenkins, 76
Nolan Richard “Dick” Jenkins of Campbellsville, son of the late John Allen and Maybel Peavey Allen and later adopted by the late Marvin Jenkins and Pearl Dixon Jenkins, was born in Jacksonville, Florida, November 17, 1933. He died at 12:45 A.M., Tuesday, June 15, 2010 in Campbellsville. Age: 76
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Early’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
He served his country honorably in the United States Army.
He was a retired exercise and assistant trainer to six-time Horse of the Year, Kelso. He was very active in thoroughbred farm and horse breeding management.
He united in marriage to Lucinda Martin O’Brien March 30, 1982.
Beside his wife, Lucinda Jenkins of Campbellsville, he is survived by three sons and three daughters: Jessica Alair Jenkins Ward and Carla Bearup of Malta, New York, Caryn Jenkins of Brighton, Massachusetts, John Jenkins, Jill Jenkins and Donald Jenkins of Adams, Massachusetts; four grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Williams of Pompano Park, Florida; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jack Davenport.
