Gilbert Corbin, 86
Gilbert Corbin of Campbellsville, son of the late Asa Corbin and Florence Colvin Corbin, was born November 11, 1923 in Adair County, Kentucky. He died at 5:10 P.M., Sunday, July 11, 2010 in Campbellsville. Age: 86
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Meadowview Baptist Church.
He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps.
He was a retired farmer.
He united in marriage to Louise Arnold July 6, 1946.
Besides his wife, Louise A. Corbin of Campbellsville, he is survived by two sons and two daughters: Dwight Corbin of Campbellsville, Curtis Corbin and wife, Joyce and Elaine Giles and husband, Gordon of Louisville and Sheila Moomaw and husband, Scott of Shepherdsville; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ernestine McDaniel and husband, Cliff of Anderson, Indiana and Mary Nell Peters and husband, Arlie of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers: Glenwood Corbin, Kenneth Corbin and Clellon Corbin.
