Rella Gay Underwood, 73
Rella Gay Underwood of Campbellsville, daughter of Jessie Phipps Karnes and the late Richard Karnes, was born January 27, 1937 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 10:14 P.M., Monday, November 1, 2010 in Campbellsville. Age: 73
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
She was a former employee of Johnny Burkholder Insurance Company and a retired employee of the Central Office of the Taylor County School System.
She united in marriage to Melvin Ray Underwood October 9, 1959. He preceded her in death November 11, 2004.
She is survived by one son and one daughter and their spouses: Douglas Ray and Darrelyn Underwood and Lisa Ann and Bobby Kirtley of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Ashley Kirtley, LeAnna Kirtley, Megan Underwood and Ryan Underwood of Campbellsville; her mother, Jessie Karnes of Campbellsville; three sisters: Elaine Karnes of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, Betty Jones and husband, General Donald Jones of Killeen, Texas and Carolyn Anderson of Destin, Florida;
several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
