James Louis White, 84

James Louis White of Campbellsville, son of the late Omer White and Lottie Bell Phillips White, was born November 18, 1926 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 6:30 P.M., Thursday, November 18, 2010 in Campbellsville.  Age:  84

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. 

He was a retired employee of Tennessee Gas Transmission.

He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Army.

In retirement, he pursued his passion for travel and was proud to have visited all fifty states. He also had a love of flying small winged aircraft at the Campbellsville-Taylor County Airport, especially his Piper Commanche 7153P.

He united in marriage to Mildred Matthews April 10, 1947. 

Besides his wife, Mildred M. White of Campbellsville, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Dr. Connie Gayle White and Dr. David B. Webster of Frankfort; a step-granddaughter, Kimberlyn Headley and husband, H. Price Headley, III of Lexington; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a son, James Michael White November 25, 1967; one brother and two sisters:  Thomas White, Rosalene White and Louise Borders.
