James Buford Tungate, Age 73
James Buford Tungate of Campbellsville, son of the late Enos Tungate and Ellen Howell Tungate, was born in Marion County, Kentucky, March 3, 1937. He died at 6:04 P.M., Tuesday, January 25, 2011 in Campbellsville. Age: 73
He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
He was retired from general construction.
He united in marriage to Betty Jane Barnett July 12, 1958.
Besides his wife, Betty Jane Tungate, he is survived by one daughter and two sons: Diane Minor and husband, Bobby, Tim Tungate and wife, Rhonda and Kerry Tungate and wife, Pam of Campbellsville; six grandchildren: Emily Keltner and husband, Derrick, Alex Tungate, Spencer Tungate, Maddie Tungate, Candace Tungate and Josh Tungate; one step-grandson, Johnathon Leigh of Campbellsville; one brother, Leon Tungate of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister: “Buddy” Tungate, Foster Cleaver Tungate and Prentice Followell.
