Russell B. Underwood, 83
Russell B. Underwood of Buffalo, son of the late Alfred Thomas Underwood and Gertrude Bloyd Underwood, was born in Larue County, Kentucky, August 26, 1927. He died at 1:46 A.M., Tuesday, February 22, 2011 in Elizabethtown. Age: 83
He was a veteran of WWII having served his country honorably in the United States Navy.
He was retired from Ford Motor Company.
He united in marriage to Evelyn Dolores Shaw, December 24, 1955.
Besides his wife, Evelyn Dolores Underwood, he is survived by one daughter and four sons: Dr. Elizabeth Underwood Maeser and husband, Wayne of Louisville, Russell Dean Underwood of Kansas City, Kansas, Douglas Russell Underwood and wife, Bonnie and Greg Underwood of Buffalo, and Alfred Underwood of Hodgenville; six grandchildren: Wayne Maeser, Jr. of Louisville, Candace Maeser Livingstone of England, Russell Douglas Underwood of Dallas,Texas, Rachel Underwood of Columbia, and Tiffany Underwood and Jessica Underwood of Denver, Colorado; two great-grandsons; one sister, Mattie Cash of Campbellsville, several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers: Aileen Beams, Estelle DeSpain Pepper, Verna Fraze, Maud DeSpain, Gladys Gaddie, Everett Underwood, Robert Underwood, and Grant Underwood.
