Donald G. Henderson

Donald G. Henderson of Campbellsville, son of the late Richard T. Henderson and Delia Hortense Wilcox Henderson was born May 14, 1934 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 2:40 P.M., Friday, June 21, 2013 in Campbellsville. Age: 79

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Saloma Baptist Church.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corp.

He was a farmer.

He united in marriage to Abby Hall, who preceded him in death.

He united in marriage to Alberta “Bert” Phillips who preceded him in death.

He united in marriage to Helen Hunt Franklin July 1, 2005.

Besides his wife, Helen Henderson of Campbellsville, he is survived by two sons, Donald Henderson Jr. and wife Dinah of Florida and Lee Hall Henderson of Virginia; two step-children, Russell Franklin and wife, Katrina of Indiana, and Kim Penick and husband Kent of Campbellsville; three grandchildren; eleven step-grandchildren; twelve step-great-grandchildren; four sisters: Margaret Jean Alvey of Campbellsville, Shirley Ann Torjusen and husband, Harry of Prescott Valley, Arizona, Delia Pauline Durrett and husband Calvin of Summersville and Sharon Kaye Tyra and husband Ernie of Walkertown, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by one stepson, William Leslie Franklin in infancy, and one brother, James Robert Henderson.
