She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

Besides her husband, Howard Carman, she is survived by two daughters and two sons:  Lisa Rodgers and husband, Mark of Campbellsville, Kay Walker and husband, Farion of New Hope, Pete Bell and Dody Bell of Mt. Sherman; four grandchildren:  Kayla Rodgers, Marcus Rodgers, Grant Bennett and wife, Ashley and Kendrea Ward and husband, Chad; five great-grandchildren:  Aaron Bennett, Logan Bennett, Lucas Bennett, Jacob Ward and Briley Ward; three sisters and one brother:  Mary Lois Sexton of Hodgenville, Catherine Price of Florida, Betty Ann Miller of Elizabethtown and Tommy Buley and wife, Sandra of White City, several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
