Vertie (Brown) Goode, Picking, age 86 of Louisville, passed away September 22, 2013 at Baptist Health.
She was a native of Casey County and a member of Valley Christian Church and a former member of Highland Park Christian Church.
Vertie was preceded in death by her husband’s; Millard Goode and Harry R Picking, her parents Claude and Sadie Brown, three sisters, three brothers and one great grandson.
She is survived by her daughters; Phyllis Goode Oliver (Charles) and Patsy Goode Booth (Bill); eight grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
The family would like to express their gratitude to staff at Green Meadows Nursing Home and Baptist Hospital Palliative for the excellent care they provided to Vertie.
Visitation will be 2-8 PM Tuesday at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, Louisville, Ky. Visitation Wednesday 11 AM until 1PM at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home, Campbellsville, KY Services at
1 PM at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Roley Christian Church Cemetery.
