Frank Page Smith

Frank Page Smith, a resident of Campbellsville his entire life and winter resident of Naples, Florida, son of the late Proctor Ray Smith and Mary Katherine Page Smith, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, November 21, 1924.  He died at 11:22 A.M., Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Avow Hospice Home in Naples, Florida after an extended illness.     Age:   89

He professed faith in Christ and in 2011, was honored for being the oldest, continuous male member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army and was discharged during World War II.

He was a member of the Pitman Masonic Lodge #124 F&AM for more than sixty years.

He was a retired building contractor, developing three subdivisions, Green Acres, Holly Brook and Cedar Creek. and opening two streets, Southern Drive and Oriole Lane.  He built approximately five hundred houses in and around Campbellsville.  He served on the Campbellsville Housing Board for forty years.

He was Taylor County Fair Board president and was on the board of directors of Citizens Bank and Trust Company.

He will be remembered for his love of people and his love of travel.

He united in marriage to Nell Tapscott March 6, 1943.

Besides his wife of almost seventy-one years, Nell Tapscott Smith, he is survived by one son and one daughter:  William Ray Smith and wife, Judy and Janet Paige Feese and husband, Mitchell of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Dr. Jeff Smith and wife, Dr. Kristin Smith of Raleigh, North Carolina, Jennifer Toprani and husband, Steve of Monongahela, Pennsylvania Eric Lane and wife, Kelly of Campbellsville and Kristi Jill Feese of Jamestown; five great- grandchildren:  Tommy Smith, Madalyn Smith, Madison Lane, Will Toprani and Sophie Paige Toprani; one sister, Frances Helen Faulkner of Campbellsville; one sister-in-law, Laura Etta Smith of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, great-grandson Mason Elliot Lane and brother, Richard Lee Smith.
