Geneva Phillips Corbin

Geneva Phillips Corbin of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Latt Phillips and Mattie Evans Phillips, was born November 4, 1911 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at1:20 P.M., Friday, June 20, 2014, in Campbellsville.      Age: 102

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.

She united in marriage to Phillip L. Corbin August 17, 1929. He preceded her in death November 6, 2000.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Norman Richard and Mary Lou Corbin of Campbellsville; one son-in-law, George Fred Silas of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Richard Glenn Silas, Joann Wethington and husband, Harold, Sharon Keifer and Richard Allen Corbin, all of Campbellsville; five great-grandchildren: Jon Silas and wife, Ashley, Chris Silas, Brandon Keifer, Will Wethington and Shelby Wethington; one great-great-granddaughter, Maddie Silas; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Jo Silas January 3, 2012 and a son, Jimmie Carlton Corbin in infancy; one brother and four sisters: A. D. Phillips, Mrs. Allen Eastridge, Jean Sexton, Jo Phillips Gabehart and Opal Phillips Smith.
