Annie Mae Turner, age 89
Annie Mae Turner, age 89 of Campbellsville died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 in Campbellsville at Taylor Regional Hospital.
She was born on October 27th, 1925, to the late Oscar and Martha Hendrickson. She professed her faith in Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church where she was active in the choir, served as an usher and with the Women in White among other groups. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star and had retired from Fruit of the Loom.
She is preceded in death by her spouses, Leroy Jones and Owen M. Turner; parents, Oscar and Martha Hendrickson; brothers, Samuel Isiah and Carl David; granddaughter, Lubertha Marie Munson; great granddaughter, Estelle Munson; step sons, Paul Turner, Owen William Turner, Rev. Oscar Turner; step-grandson, Kelly Turner; and step daughters, Bernice Richardson, Rose Gaddie, and Mary Catherine Simpson.
She is survived by a daughter, Zannie Anderson of Campbellsville; her sons, James L. Jones, Thomas Turner of Louisville and Roderick Turner and his spouse, of North Carolina; grandchildren, David Durham, and his wife, Wiltheia, and Chanelle Jackson, and her husband Godfrey; several great grandchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; her sisters, Mattie Hardin and Sarah Jackson, of Campbellsville, Ada Duncan and her husband, Joe, of Indiana and Naomi Embry and her husband, Roy, Sr. of Greensburg; her brothers, Amos Hendrickson, of Michigan, Robert Hendrickson and his wife, Arneva, Paul Hendrickson, Joe Hendrickson and his wife, Veachel, John Hendrickson of Indiana, Walter Hendrickson and his wife Sandra of Louisville and James Hendrickson and his wife Janie, of Greensburg and her step-children Vernetta Hendrickson, Betty Jean Graves and her husband, George, Ronnie Turner and his wife, Judy, and Carrie Grady, all of Campbellsville and Wanda Cooper, Patricia Johnson and Virginia Brown, of Louisville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28th at Campbellsville Baptist Church with burial in the Pleasant Union Church Cemetery.
The family request visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 27th at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.
