J. Williams PicMr. Joe H. “Durwood” Williams, the son of the late, H. Gilmer and Essie Lorene Sexton Williams, was born February, 5, 1936 in Drop, Texas and departed this life on Friday, October 16, 2015 in Campbellsville at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 79 years of age.
He attended the Old Trinity Primitive Baptist Church in Denton, TX, he was a former Dairyman and HVAC Contractor, and a small business-owner. He served his country honorably as a United States Veteran.

Survivors include his wife: Sandra L. Kennedy Williams of Columbia; a son: Shawn Henry Williams and his wife Susie Trejo Williams of Campbellsville; two daughters: Allison Williams Carter of Evans, Georgia and Tammi Lea Ward of Haskell, TX; a sister: Brenda Joyce Carter and husband Coy of Justin, TX and a sister-in-law: Doris Williams of Justin, TX. Four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Williams was preceded in death by a brother: Arthur Williams.

The funeral service for Mr. Joe H. “Durwood” Williams, will be conducted Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 11:00 AM at the Old Trinity Primitive Baptist Church in Denton, TX with burial to follow in the Trinity Cemetery. Elder Vernon Johnson and Elder Dale Turner will be officiating.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM on Friday, October 23, 2015 at the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Denton.
