Mary Ellen Dickens, 70 (UPDATED)
Mrs. Mary Ellen (Goode) Dickens was born on November 8, 1945 to Nellie (Hoosier) Goode and the late John Goode. She departed this life on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the University of Louisville Hospital. Mrs. Dickens was 70 years, 2 months, and 12 days of age. She was a homemaker and housewife to the late Billy Dickens, who preceded her in death in 2010. Mrs. Dickens professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
She leaves to cherish her memory:Her mother and Five children: Ricky Gabehart and fiance Mary Wesley of Campbellsville, Marie Daugherty and husband Bill of Bardstown, David Ford, Susan Reardon, and Billy Dickens, Jr. all of Greensburg,
Three siblings: Lanis Goode of Campbellsville, Maxine Blankenship of Greensburg, and Patty Sullivan of Lebanon,
Seventeen grandchildren,
Nine great-grandchildren,
And a host of other family and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Dickens on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 2:00 PM EST (1:00 PM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Bro. Jim Collison will be officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, January 26, from 11:00 AM until time for the service.
