Iris Irene Estevez, 91
Mrs. Iris Irene Estevez of Radcliff was born on September 8, 1924 in the Dominican Republic to the late Simeon “Pasito” Estevez and Maria Engracia Rodriguez. She departed this life on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Estevez was 91 years and 9 months of age. She professed faith in Christ and was of the Catholic faith. She was a retired teacher and seamstress, an excellent cook, and loved to volunteer for her church and family.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
One daughter and son-in-law: Iris Lucia Nolasco and Edwin Santiago,
Three siblings: Maria “Cocola” Socorro Estevez of the Dominican Republic, Mimerva Rodriguez of New York, and Rafael Rodriguez, also of New York,
Several grandchildren, including Laidy Abreu, Esteward Abreu, and Madelin Abreu,
Two great-grandchildren: Elian Abreu and Adriana Abreu,
And a host of other family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Pablo Silvia Abreu, one brother, Rafael “Cuyo” Estevez, and a nephew, Usbaldo “QuiQue” Estevez.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Iris Irene Estevez on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 1:00 pm EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Cremation rites will be conducted after the service.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, June 11, from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral.
