Wallace H. Phillips, age 90
Wallace H. Phillips, age 90, of Campbellsville died Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Wallace was born in Taylor County to the late Leslie and Myrtle Keltner Phillips. He served in the US Army in Korea and was awarded a Purple Heart. He retired from Tennessee Gas Transmission where he had worked for 38 years. Wallace was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church where he had served on the Board of Trustees.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Davis Phillips and a daughter Ann Wallace Phillips.
Surviving is his sister, Ayleen Williams of Campbellsville and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16th at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Neil Salvaterra officiating. Burial will follow at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by the Marion County Retired Veterans Honor Guard. Serving as pallbearers will be Don Caffee, Noland “Hot Shot” Gilpin, Greg Clark, Chuck Pennington, Thomas McMahan and David Helm.
The family requests visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, August 15th at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.
