James Douglas “Doug” Cox
James Douglas “Doug” Cox of Campbellsville, son of the late Jay Cox and Jewell Sallee Cox, was born June 26, 1958, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, October 1, 2016 in Campbellsville. Age: 58
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Zion Church of God.
Doug was the owner of Cox’s Scrap Metal with his father, Jay Cox and was also the owner of Cox’s Creekside Farms. He was a member and former president of the Kentuckiana Truck Puller’s Association. He was also a member of the Pro Puller League.
He united in marriage to Ann Willis December 25, 1982.
Besides his wife, Ann Willis Cox, he is survived by two sons and two daughters: Brandon Cox and wife, Amanda, Clint Cox, Brooke Cox Humphress and husband, Nick and Chasity Johnson of Campbellsville; six grandchildren: Shelby Martin, Jaylin Cox, Ashton Johnson, Tanner Martin, Jacob Johnson and Baker Cox of Campbellsville; one brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Tammy Cox of Campbellsville; mother-in-law, Rachel Willis of Columbia; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
