Clay Stubbs, 75
Mr. Cecil Clay Stubbs of Campbellsville, son of the late Alvin Kenneth and Lizzie May (Kearney) Stubbs, was born in Adair County on May 25, 1941. He departed this life on Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center after an illness. He was 75 years, 5 months, and 10 days of age. Mr. Stubbs was a sawmill worker, a former employee of the Fruit of the Loom factory, and drove a cab. He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.
He leaves to cherish his memory:
Three sons: Junior Stubbs of Campbellsville, Lee Stubbs and wife Billie Jo of Metcalfe County, and Robbie Lynn Stubbs and companion Kim Reily of Scottsville,
His companion of thirty-plus years: Joyce Tucker of Campbellsville,
Three grandchildren: Shaun Stubbs of Campbellsville, Caleigh Stubbs of Gallatin, TN, and Tyler Stubbs of Florida,
Six great-grandchildren,
And a host of extended family and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Stubbs on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 1:00 PM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Tyler Stubbs will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the Shipp Cemetery, 1191 E. Owl Creek Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 8, from 10:00 AM until time for the service.
