Margie Beard Buckland, 58

margie-bucklandMrs. Margie Lois Buckland of Campbellsville was born in Taylor County on October 26, 1958 to the late Shelby Woodrow and Georgia Annetta (Gupton) Beard. She departed this life on Monday, November 7, 2016 at her home at the age of 58 years and 12 days. She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. She was a 1976 graduate of Campbellsville Independent Schools and an active volunteer in the community. Margie was a Girls in Action and a Girl Scout leader, a GCHS Band Booster, and a Tupperware Manager. She had been employed at WalMart over twenty years at the time of her passing. She married Bill Buckland in September of 2001, and together they created many precious memories. She loved being outdoors; the times she spent camping, boating, and fishing with her family will be forever cherished, but time spent with her grandkids was paramount in her life.

Five siblings: Carla Kendall, Wanda LeFande, Kelvin Beard and wife Debbie, Ruthetta Clark and husband Ricky, and Myra Gribbins and husband Greg, all of Campbellsville,

Five grandchildren: Elijah Blake Collings, Jocelyn Evangeline Collings, Maddox Lewis Creason, Joy Louise Joseph, and Grace Sofia Joseph,

One aunt: Brenda Allen and husband Ronnie of Campbellsville,

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Buckland on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 12:00 noon at the Asbury United Methodist Church, 9600 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Bro. Don Watson will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3878 Greensburg Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 10, from 3:00-8:00 PM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY 42718, and on Friday, November 11, after 10:00 AM at the church.

James Kendall, II, Lee Kendall, R.B. Herron, Greg Beard, Anthony Beard, Shelby Gribbins, A.J. Clark, and Travis Clark will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Shellie Kendall, Jeannie Clark, Ashley LeFande, Brittany Bright, Whitley Gribbins, and Erica Gribbins.lrpetty-logo
