Hicks, Levettia “Tiny”, age 87

Levettia “Tiny” Hicks, age 87, formerly of Campbellsville, died Monday, November 14, at the Village Care Center in Erlanger, Kentucky.

Levettia was born in Taylor County, Kentucky on March 21, 1929 to the late Grover Carroll and Purnie Eastridge Carroll.   Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Willard Owen Gaddis as well as her husband, Melvin Hicks, two sons, Daniel and Randall Gaddis, a granddaughter, Megan Gaddis, as well as her three brothers, Arvin, J.T. and Carson Carroll.

Levettia loved flowers, sewing and cooking and had worked many years at the Fruit of the Loom.   At the time of her death she was a member of the Feathersburg Church of God.

Levettia was survived by one son, Michael Gaddis and his wife Marsha of Atlanta, GA,  a daughter, Judy Money and husband Fred of Dry Ridge, KY, two daughter-in-law’s, Mary Gaddis of Danville, KY, and Madonna Gaddis Chick of Campbellsville, KY and one sister, Annetta Phillips, Eminence, KY.   Also surviving are four step-children, Conrad Hicks and his wife Judy of Junction City, KY, Tony Hicks and Linda Sallee and her husband Ricky of Campbellsville and Barbara Annette Cook, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grand-children, 12 step grandchildren and 4 step great grand-children.

Funeral services for Levettia “Tiny” Hicks will be on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Bro. Richie Carroll officiating with burial to follow in the Eastridge Cemetery.     The family request visitation after 1:00 p.m. on November 17, prior to the time of the service.
