Jewell Leon Thompson, 62
Mr. Jewell Leon Thompson, son of the late Fredrick Ruel “Freddy” and Dorline (Graham) Thompson, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at his home in Campbellsville. Born on December 26, 1953, he was 62 years, 11 months and 26 days of age. He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Thompson was a truck driver until becoming disabled. He enjoyed watching old western movies, and could quote many of John Wayne’s lines.
He leaves to mourn his passing:

Seven brothers and sisters: Mary Ann Gray and companion Ricky Brown of Campbellsville, Margaret Embry of Campbellsville, Nina Sanders and husband Darrell of Mammoth Cave, Barbara Allen of Campbellsville, Danny Thompson of Hodgenville, Josephine Martinez of Hodgenville, and Tammy Seals and husband Robert of Campbellsville,
Three grandchildren,
And a host of other family and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Thompson on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd., Campbellsville, KY 42718. Burial will follow in the Highview United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1599-1973 Highview Pike, Raywick, KY.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 26, from 5:00-8:00 PM EST.
