Thornton “Bud” Crum, Jr.
Thornton “Bud” Crum, Jr., age 38, of Campbellsville died Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in Louisville following a brief illness.
Thornton was born in Louisa, Kentucky on June 14, 1978 the son of Lois Endicott and Thornton Crum, Sr., who preceded him in death. He was well known in town as he had served as cook for various area restaurants. In his spare time, you would find him cheering on his favorite basketball team, The University of Louisville Cardinals, fishing or collecting knives.
He is survived by his wife, Ashley Crum; a daughter, Cadynce Cox; a son, Bentley Cox, two sisters, Cathy Crum and Melissa Crum. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Jennie Crum and companion Shawn Ortiz, Anleigh Foster, Avah Perkins, John Crum and J. T. Crum; also, Great-nephew and Great-niece, Easton Crum and Harlee Ortiz; his mother and father-in-law, Tara and Doug Burdine and a sister-in-law, Shelby Burdine, all of Campbellsville.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 5th at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery with casket bearers being J.T. Crum, J.T. Veltman, Scott Cox, Cody Ford, Cory Clann and Brady Wilkerson. Honorary pallbearers are John Crum and Doug Burdine.
The family requests visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.
