Burnice Louise “Mama E” Parker, age 90, of Campbellsville died Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Campbellsville Nursing and Rehabilitation Home in Campbellsville, KY.

Mama E. was born on January 13, 1927 in Campbellsville, KY to the late Clarence Milton and Clady White Vaughn.    For over 50 years she shared her life with the man she married in 1946, Spencer Samuel Parker who preceded her in death on June 17, 1996.   Also, preceding her in death were her daughters, Martha Parker Visor and Joyce Ann Parker as well as her brothers and sisters, Hollis D. Vaughn, James E. Vaughn, Maurice S. Vaughn, Clarence Milton Vaughn, Jr., Eleanor Miller and Eula Wray Shively.

Mama E had worked as a nursing assistant at Rosary Hospital as well as for Dr. Mann’s office.   During her spare time, you would find her sewing, cooking, canning, quilting or dancing.   She was such a joy to be around as she had a contagious laugh that made everyone smile.   At the time of her death she was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons and daugthers-in-law, George Parker and his wife Terri, Larry Buckner and his wife, Jean, both of Aurora, IL; and a son-in-law, John D.
