Frankie Jene Welliver
Mr. Frankie Jene Welliver, age 74 of Knifley, died Tuesday, May 16, at the T.J. Health Columbia Hospital after a sudden illness.
Frankie was born on February 26, 1943, the son of the late Frank Melton and Mary Edna Barrett Welliver. Also, preceding him in death were his sisters, Mary Frances Northcutt and Rosettae Faye Bryant as well as his brothers, James Melton Welliver, Ernie Harold Welliver and Richard Thomas Welliver. He was a very dedicated construction worker as well as a trustee at Robinson Chapel Separate Baptist Church where he was a member.
He is survived by his wife, Vonda Warren Welliver and one daughter, Thelma Jean Welliver of Knifley. Also surviving are his two brothers and their spouses, Amos Manuel and Yvonne Welliver and Bethel Ivan and Margaret Welliver of Oklahoma, three sisters and their spouses, Getty Joy Belle and Glen Anderson, Sarah and Bill Rusher, both of Oklahoma and Gerry Lea and P.J. Fuksa of Texas.
Funeral services for Mr. Welliver will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Robinson Chapel Separate Baptist Church Cemetery with Casket Bearers being Bobby Hughes, Jeremy Hughes, Anthony Warren, Greg Warren, Kelly Warren, Delbert Warren and Wayne Warren. Honorary pallbearers will be P.J. Fuksa, Larry Hughes and Steve Warren. The family request visitation on Friday evening, May 19, 2017, from 5-8 p.m. at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.
