Glenda Creekmore, 74
Mrs. Glenda Kay Creekmore of Somerset was born on March 15, 1943 to the late Woodrow Glenn Sheehan and Virginia (Ford) Hicks. She departed this life on Friday, June 9, 2017 after an extended illness. She was 74 years, 2 months, and 25 days of age. Mrs. Creekmore was a retired office manager and a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, but when she couldn’t be outside, she was often found reading a good book, watching TV programs, or finishing a crossword puzzle. She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Creekmore was married to Kenneth Wayne Creekmore, who preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her passing:
One daughter: Kenda Benningfield and husband Randy of Jamestown,
Two sons: Scott Edward Creekmore and Christopher Wayne Creekmore, both of Somerset,
One brother: Larry Hicks and wife Susan of Mississippi,
Four grandchildren: Matthew Scott Attaway, Drew Creekmore, Justin Kyle Benningfield, and James David Benningfield,
Four great-grandchildren,
And a host of other family and friends.
At the request of Mrs. Creekmore, the family chose cremation. The L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Campbellsville was in charge of those arrangements. All services were held privately.
