Marvin Overby, 77
Mr. Marvin Lee Overby of Campbellsville passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017 after a brief battle with cancer. Born on August 7, 1940 to the late Roscoe Lee and Elsie (Moore) Overby, he was 77 years and 11 days of age. He was a mechanic by trade, and enjoyed tinkering with motors and small engines. He was a member of the Winston-Salem Baptist Church in his hometown in North Carolina, but attended the Pittman Valley Baptist Church in Campbellsville. Mr. Overby was a veteran and served his country honorably in the United States Navy.

One half brother: Raymond Moore of Bakersfield, California,
And several other family members and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Overby on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 1:00 PM EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Dannie Nelson and Bro. Carlton Puryear will be officiating. Burial Will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 3878 Greensburg Rd, Campbellsville, KY.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, August 19, from 10:00 AM until time for the service.
