Donald JeRue, 77
Mr. Donald Vernon JeRue of Columbia was born to the late Vernon Addison and Verda Carter JeRue on March 3, 1942 in Cook County, Illinois. He passed from this life on Saturday, January 4, 2020 in Columbia at the Westlake Regional Hospital, being 77 years, 10 months, and 3 days of age. Mr. JeRue professed faith in Christ and was a member of Calvary Temple. He was a former employee of Commonwealth Edison Company in Illinois and an honorable veteran of the United States Army.

His wife of nearly 39 years: Mrs. Janet (Herron) JeRue,
Five children: Donnie JeRue and wife Angela of Danville, IL, Jackie Spurgin of Louisiana, Lynn Ring and husband Ron of Decatur, IL, Dean “Honcho” Holycross of Danville, IL, and Chantel Reasor and husband Jeff of Texas,
Sixteen grandchildren,
Six great-grandchildren,
Joe and Susan Richards and the remaining church family,
Sixteen brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law,
And a host of other family and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. JeRue on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 8:00 PM EST (7:00 PM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Troy McWhorter will be officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded Mr. JeRue after the service. He will be interred in the Lebanon National Cemetery at a later date.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 9, from 6:00-8:00 PM EST (5:00-7:00 PM CST)
