Richard Lee Woodhouse
Richard Lee Woodhouse of Campbellsville, son of the late Everett Woodhouse and Mary Cress Woodhouse, was born July 26, 1940. He graduated to heaven November 16, 2020 in Campbellsville.
A United States Navy Veteran, he was a retiree from Naval Avionics in Indianapolis, Indiana. He had a professing and strong faith in Jesus Christ and his passion was guiding others into the truth of Biblical living. He was an active member at Campbellsville Baptist Temple and taught Bible lessons for many years.
Dick enjoyed so many things in life like music, the outdoors, laughing and spending time with family and working with his hands. He was especially gifted in woodworking and he gave most of his creations to family and friends. He was always looking for ways to help someone in need. In his final years, he was an avid prayer warrior for family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Cover Woodhouse of 60 years, and five children: Debbie Parson and husband, Ron of Campbellsville, Kentucky, Jeff Woodhouse and wife, Linda of Pendleton, Indiana, Angel Schmitt and husband, Eric of Washington, Robert Swordes and Cheryl Lynch of Los Angeles, California and Marcus Woodhouse of Indianapolis, Indiana; fourteen grandchildren: Kurtis Parson and Brianne Parson of Great Falls, Montana, Alaina Ramsey of Corinth, Texas, Nathan Woodhouse of Daleville, Indiana, Kimberly Kinkley and Nicholas Woodhouse of Indianapolis, Indiana, Adrienne Woodhouse and Anna Woodhouse of Pendleton, Indiana, Summer Woodhouse and Savana Woodhouse of Indianapolis, Indiana, Christian Schaaf and Maverick Schmitt of Washington, Tristan Swordes and Tabitha Swordes of Los Angeles, California; ten great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Keeling of Mexico, Indiana; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives, friends and church members.
He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Marine Collin Schaaf; three brothers: James Woodhouse, Robert Woodhouse, Jack Woodhouse and two sisters: Dorothy Gray and Mary Jean Brown.
