Jimmy James Tungate, 37

Jimmy James “Bubba” Tungate, of Campbellsville, the son of Jimmy and Jane (Tate) Tungate, was born May 30, 1985 in Marion County, KY and departed this life on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 in Taylor County. He was 37 years of age.

He was a former truck driver, factory worker, and roofer, and was of the Methodist faith.

“Bubba”, as he was lovingly known by his close friends and family, enjoyed riding four wheelers and motorcycles, being outdoors, and playing video games with his nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his parents: Jimmy and Jane Tungate, two sisters: Rita Reynolds and husband Drew, and Jessica Tungate and companion Roy Wooley.

Also surviving are his nieces and nephews: Kaylee, Nolan and James Carson Reynolds, Destiny Milby, Samantha and Gracie Wooley and best friends: Jason Keith, Dustin Jones, and Jerome Fulkerson, close cousins: Ronald Lee Cowan, James Michael Clarkson, James Robert Tungate, Robert Tungate, and Scott Cowan.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: James Harrison Tungate, Sr., Mary Lucy Wilkerson, Shelby Raymond Tate; his great-grandparents: Layfette and Corie Tungate and John Wilkerson.

The funeral service for Jimmy James “Bubba” Tungate will be Monday, June 20, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

Rev. Freddy Thompson will be officiating.

Visitation will be after 10:00 A.M. until time for the service.
