Earl Ray Sims, 67
Mr. Earl Ray Sims of Campbellsville, formerly of Princeton, was born in Caldwell County on June 21, 1954 to the late Raymond Ray and Marie Gladis (Lantrip) Sims. He departed this life on Friday, June 17, 2022 at the Rex Robley VA Medical Center, having attained the age of 67 years, 11 months, and 27 days. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Carrying the Torch Ministries. Mr. Sims was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He was a former detective for the Ft. Walton, Florida Police Department, but was best known for his work as an insurance salesman after his return to Princeton.

Five children: Patrick Sims of Princeton, Michael Sims and husband Bill Rastain of Crystal Lake, IL, Jason Sims and wife Shawntell of Cedar Bluff, VA, David Sims and wife Robin of Campbellsville, and Blake Hoots of Louisville,
Two siblings: Cathy Wells of Nebo, and Richard Sims of Princeton,
Three grandchildren,
And a host of extended family and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Sims on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Pastor James Glenn McInteer will officiate. Interment will follow in the Lebanon National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 5:00-8:00 PM.
