Jean Pyles, 94
Mrs. Jean (Eggers) Pyles of Somerset, formerly of Taylor County, passed peacefully from this life on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset. Born in Taylor County on August 28, 1928 to the late James and Sara Ann (Greer) Eggers, she was 94 years of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Pyles was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom and GTE, and was a retired realtor with Associated Realty in Elizabethtown.
She had united in marriage to Mr. Ernest Pyles on December 17, 1947. They remained a devoted couple until his passing on May 19, 2009. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Oscar Eggers, on December 28, 1984.
She leaves to cherish her memory:
A son: James “Jim” Pyles and wife Kim of Somerset,
A grandchild: Jamie Pyles of Georgetown,
And several other extended family members and friends.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Pyles on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. She will be laid to rest beside her late husband in the Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens Cemetery following the service. Visitation will begin on Thursday at 11:00 AM and continue until time for the service.
