Garland C-Wood Wright, 84
Mr. Garland C-Wood Wright of Campbellsville, the son of the late George William and Zelma (Moran) Wright, was born March 30, 1938 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, November 19, 2022 in Louisville at the Norton Hospital. He was 84 years of age.
He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith.
He enjoyed fishing, making children smile and laugh and was an avid UK fan, but always looked forward to his daily visits to McDonalds.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Mamie Allyene (Bright) Wright; a sister and brother: Dorothy Elizabeth Judd and Homer Shively Wright; his step-mother: Lucille Sweeney Wright and a step-brother: Jesse Peppers.
Survivors include two brothers: Fred Wright of Campbellsville and Jerry Wright and wife Jeanie of Bowling Green; four sisters: Peggy Montgomery, Judy Reynolds and husband Jerald and Nancy Sue Newton, all of Greensburg and Ruby Kay Jessie and husband Wayne of Hopkins County; a step-sister: Margarette Joyce Perkins; a special niece: Sherri Givens and a host of other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Garland Wright will be Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 12:00 P.M. EST in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Green County Memory Gardens at Summersville.
Rev. Freddy Thompson will be officiating
Visitation will be after 9:30 A.M. EST on Tuesday at the funeral home.
