Lois Ann Walters Richardson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Albert Walters and Lucy Garnett Walters, was born March 20, 1943 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She went home to be with her heavenly father Tuesday, February 14, 2023 in Louisville.

She professed faith in Christ and was a lifelong member of Early’s Chapel United Methodist Church.

Lois was a retired employee of Kroger in Campbellsville.  However, her self-professed purpose in life was to be a great mother and, in that role (and all the other family roles she held),she so effortlessly exceled as she was truly a goodhearted person with limitless love for her family. Patience, joy, and kindness were hallmarks of her character and her nonjudgmental inclination always allowed her to see the best in people.  Her fun-loving personality and adventurous spirit deepened family relationships and attracted many meaningful friendships over the course of her life.  She is loved and will be tremendously missed by all those who had the honor to know her because she unselfishly loved and cared for all those that she knew.

She united in marriage to William Warren Richardson, who preceded her in death in 2012.

She is survived by three lucky sons: Terry Richardson (and Alan) of Prospect, Jeff Richardson (and Marlene) and Dusty Richardson (and Liz) of Campbellsville; four grandchildren: Bryce Richardson of Pensacola, Florida, Owsley Richardson, and Logan Smith (and Cole) of Campbellsville and Loren Smith-Mattingly (and David) of Lebanon; five great-grandchildren:  Oaks Mattingly, Oli Mattingly and Gus Mattingly of Lebanon and Barrett Smith and Ada James Smith of Campbellsville and several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters and their spouses: Herbert Walters, Bill Walters, David Walters, Edith Lawson, Virginia Shively and Barbara Pike and several nieces and nephews.
