CARL FORD, SR. OBITUARY
Carl Ford, Sr., 87, of Knifley, Kentucky, son of the late Rue Ford and Bertha May Callahan Ford was born July 11th, 1935, in Merrimac, Kentucky, and departed this life on Friday, February 17th, 2023, at his home in Knifley, Kentucky.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. Carl was a welder and fabricator for many years. He owned Ford Custom Welding for over 35 years. He enjoyed working on Model A cars, woodworking, and landscaping. He was a member of the Model A and Hudson clubs and of the Moose Lodge.
Carl united in marriage to Ms. Carolyn Ann Kaufman on February 14th, 1992, who survives.
Besides his wife, Carl is survived by:
Three children: Cary Hendricks and husband, Bill, of Knifley; Carla Satterfield and husband, Chuck, of Louisville; and Carl Ford Jr., and wife, Kim, of Louisville
Two stepchildren: Kenetha Douglas of Louisville, and Zenda Stephenson of North Vernon, IN.
Ten grandchildren: Heather Allen of Louisville; Scott Underwood and wife, Kristin, of Mt. Washington; Camille Davis of North Vernon, IN; Kassie Hermann and husband, Chris, of Bullitt County; Kelly Underwood of Louisville; Tabitha Rutherford and husband, Tyler, of Bullitt County; Hunter Ford; Trevor Ford; Savannah Ford; and Lilly Ford, all of Louisville.
Twelve great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and three sisters: Eric Ford and wife, Jennifer; Galoris Hedgespeth and husband, Ralph; Gary Ford and wife, Pauline; Lana Ford, all of Campbellsville; and Shirley James of Indiana
Besides his parents, Mr. Ford was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters: Ruby McDonald, Rue Ford, Ray Ford, Daniel Ford, “Zip” Reese, Ena Hicks, Ina Humphress, Marsa Cox, Wilma Combs, and Anita Elmore.
VISITATION: Wednesday, February 22nd, 2023, from 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. EST at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.
FUNERAL: Thursday, February 23rd, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Auberry Funeral Home in downtown Campbellsville.
Burial to follow in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for expressions of sympathy be taken in the form of donations to Hosparus of Green River and can be made at the funeral home.
