Lucille St. Clair
Lucille St. Clair of Mt. Washington, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Henry Ryan Thomas and Ellen Catherine Abell Thomas, was born May 13, 1926 in Marion County, Kentucky. She died at 4:14 P.M., Monday, June 12, 2023 in Mt. Washington. Age: 97
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
Lucille was a retired food service employee with Blue Boar Cafeteria after twenty-eight years of service and was a volunteer for many years at St. Vincent de Paul Mission Store in Campbellsville.
She was a member of the Legion of Mary Church organization and a lifetime member of the D.A.V Auxiliary.
The City of Campbellsville and Taylor County, Kentucky, proclaimed June 8, 2016 as “Lucille St. Clair Day” for her years of service at the C&S Mission Store.
Lucille united in marriage to Floyd St. Clair September 18, 1946 and he preceded her in death November 2, 1995.
She is survived by one son and one daughter: John St. Clair and wife, Janet and Donna Sue Shepherd of Mt. Washington; four grandchildren: Jeni Dawson, Jill Starkey and husband, Todd, Jason St. Clair and wife, Brittany and Anna Brumley and husband, Roy of Mt. Washington; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Teresa Smith of Campbellsville; two sisters-in-law: Inez Thomas and Sandra Anderson; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Lucille was also preceded in death by four brothers: Jim Thomas, Marvin Thomas, Bill Thomas and Joe Thomas; one son-in-law, Gene Shepherd and one grandson, Robert Joseph Shepherd.
