Dale Gorley

Dale Gorley of Campbellsville, son of the late Cecil Lawton Gorley and Bonnie Mae Arnold Gorley, was born April 10, 1964 in Jefferson County, Kentucky.  He died at 6:00 A.M., Sunday, July 16, 2023 in Campbellsville.      Age: 59

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Dale was an employee of Murakami Manufacturing for ten years and the Taylor County Fire Department for twenty-four years, having also previously worked at the Plastic Products Company in Lebanon for twenty-seven years.  He was also a crew chief with DeSpain Motor Sports for over twenty years, something he loved more than anything and was proud of.

Dale was known as a strong, courageous and loving husband, dad and grandfather and was always quick to help others. He also was skilled in knowing how to fix anything that his kids ever asked for.

He united in marriage to Denise Dooley July 4, 1999.

Besides his wife, Denise Gorley of Campbellsville, he is survived by four sons and one daughter:

Clint Barnett of Campbellsville, Jordan Gorley and wife, Sasha of Harrodsburg, Tatum-Michael Gorley and wife, Ariel of Calvary, Blair Gorley and wife, Emily of Nicholasville and Lexis Gorley and significant other, Shalijah Johnson of Bradfordsville; seven grandchildren:  Lawton Gorley, Lilly Gorley, Heidi Gorley, Saylor Gorley, Knox Gorley, Landon Gonzalez and Alena Doughty; one sister-in-law, Lisa Bryant and husband, Tim of North Carolina; one niece and two nephews:  Tabatha Bryant, Jacob Bryant and wife, Lindsey and Jonathan Bryant; one aunt and one uncle:  Rosie Sullivan and Norman Sullivan and wife, Bonnie; special family friend, Arlene Cordero and many other relatives and friends.

Dale was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Lula Mae Dooley on December 17, 2020.
