Paul Shively

Paul Shively of Campbellsville, son of the late Robert Shively and Nannie Harden Shively, was born March 24, 1943 in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 5:54 A.M., Saturday, October 21, 2023 in Campbellsville.      Age:  80

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Freedom Baptist Church.

Paul Shively was a friend to many and a stranger to no one. If you were fortunate enough to know him, you knew that he loved his family and had an unwavering faith in Jesus. A natural hard worker, Paul retired from Parker-Kalon but also owned and operated a logging and sawmill business. Even in retirement, he was often asked to “walk timber” and mark trees for people. Paul also enjoyed taking care of his farm where he raised livestock, tobacco, corn, beans, and hay.

Paul united in marriage to Sherry Wise August 28, 1971.

Besides his wife, Sherry Shively of Campbellsville, Paul is survived by three sons and two daughters: Phil Shively of Columbus, Indiana, Adrian Shively and wife Sara, Chad Shively and wife Bethany, Sharon Bland and husband Dwayne and Karen Curry and husband John all of Campbellsville; thirteen grandchildren: Sydney Reynolds and husband Will, Jake Shively, Noah Shively, Levi Shively and wife Mariah, Layne Shively, Landon Shively and wife Maci, Emma Shively, Ellis Shively, Ella Shively, Tyler Benningfield and wife Candace, Keenan Shively, Micah Shively and Kassondra Cook and husband David all of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Paul was also preceded in death by six brothers and one sister: Robert Shively, William Shively, Leroy Shively, Charles Shively, Buddy Rouse, Fred Rouse and Emma Hourigan.
