Wilbur Scott
Wilbur Scott, son of the late Walter Scott and Mary Eunice Bright Scott, was born on January 26, 1953 in Adair County, Kentucky. He died at 6:25 A.M., Sunday, May 12, 2024, in Columbia. Age: 71
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn Baptist Church.
Wilbur was an employee of Manchester Tank in Campbellsville. He had also been employed at Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville for over twenty-five years and at Henderickson in Lebanon for over twenty-one years.
He loved being outdoors and traveling. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and brothers and sisters.
Wilbur united in marriage to Teresa Giles December 22, 1973.
Besides his wife, Teresa Scott of Campbellsville, Wilbur is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Tyler Britton of Elk Horn; two grandchildren: Tylee Britton and Cole Britton; two brothers and six sisters: Carolyn Fowler and husband, Larry of Landrum, South Carolina, Rita Seaborne of Campbellsville, James Scott and wife, Jeania of Edinburg, Indiana, Darrell Scott and wife, Sandy of Breeding, Frances Edwards and husband, Doug of Perryville, Jane Elliott of Campbellsville, Margaret Luckett and husband, Steve of Lebanon and Renita Mays and husband, Scott of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Wilbur was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister: Gary Stapleton, Bennett Stapleton, Lewis Scott and Joyce Thompson. Sherry Lynn Scott and the twins, Shirley Gayle Scott and Larry Dale Scott were born and died in infancy.
