Anne Mardis of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Henry Franklin Mardis and Golda Mae Tharp Mardis, was born April 12, 1939 in Marion County, Kentucky. She died at age 85 on October 26, 2024 in Lexington of complications from a stroke she suffered on September 10, 2024.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.

Anne graduated from Campbellsville High School and Campbellsville College. After graduation, Anne went to work at Campbellsville Baptist Church, and would become its longest tenured employee, serving as church secretary for 49 years.

Anne had a playful and curious mind, and was ceaselessly devoted to her faith, her family and her friends. Anne was always up for an adventure, whether it be zip-lining, traveling to 48 states, riding mopeds in Gatlinburg, or whatever was next, and always ready for a good round of Rook or a CU ball game.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Bettye Jean Kincheloe, and her special cousin, Louise Morgan.

Thanks to all who visited, prayed, called and sent well wishes. She read and enjoyed every card and loved every one of you.

Anne is survived by her nieces Karen Patton of Chicago, and Laura Kincheloe of Lexington, her extended family in Illinois, her devoted neighbors, and her church family.
