Stanley McCubbin Jr.

Posted by on Dec 2, 2024

Stanley McCubbin Jr, 66, of Campbellsville, son of Betty Daffron McCubbin and the late Stanley McCubbin Sr. was born December 27th, 1957 in Campbellsville, Kentucky, and departed this life on Friday, November 29th, 2024 in Danville, Kentucky.

Junior united in marriage to Ms. Kathy Whited on February 1st, 2002. She survives.

Junior was a longtime employee of McCubbin and Sons Farm Equipment working with his dad. He served for many years on the Taylor County Fair Board. He most recently worked at J. Edwards and Sons Trucking. Junior was a long-time trucker, farmer, and businessman. Junior professed faith in Christ and spent many years attending Liberty Baptist Church in Spurlington. He recently had been attending Feathersburg First Church of God. He served as a youth leader at many churches in the community. Junior truly had a servant’s heart.

JR was a proud board member of the Taylor County Fair Association, having served for many years on the board and even holding presidency for one year. JR was a giver, a giver of his heart, a giver of his time. A true genuine volunteer, who showed up and got the job done, without taking credit, or wanting a pat on his back! He over seen the fair concession stand and could be found on the grill with a big grin on his face. When JR was the grill master you knew the food would be tender and juicy, cooked to perfection! Having this responsibility is something him and his wife Kathy took seriously. They would created a supply list, and gather the items needed to cater to 14,000 people in attendance that week. No easy task! He would even take his vacation the week of the fair to better serve his community. Recently we purchased new bleachers that needed assembling, JR would be the first one their on Saturday mornings and always thinking of new events to host at the fairgrounds or to put a new spin on some old ones. We will deeply miss his presents with us at the meetings, lending advice or just cutting up, he would always have a comment about something!

Besides his wife and mother, Junior is survived by:
