Charles “Eddie” Murphy, 70
Charles Edward “Eddie” Murphy of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late Charlie Wilbur Murphy and Daisy (Wright) Hoosier, was born September 15, 1954 in Taylor County and departed this life on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 in Danville. He was 70 years of age.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Ruby Lena (Mikel) Murphy; a brother: Denny Murphy and a sister: Linda White.
Eddie was of the Catholic Faith, former employee of Fruit of The Loom, a farmer, a former fireman and was a jack of all trades.
Survivors include a son: Robbie Murphy of Campbellsville; a daughter: Patricia Michelle Murphy of Louisiana.
Also four sisters and a brother: Mary Cox, Barbara Abell, Geraldine McCarty, Carolyn Lee and husband Larry all of Lebanon and Jimmy Ward and wife Sandy of Alabama.
Two grandchildren: Gracie Lynn Murphy and Presley Schnipp and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Charles Edwards “Eddie” Murphy will be conducted Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Robinson Creek Cemetery.
Visitation from 5-8 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.
