Joseph Rader Murphy, 81

Joseph Rader Murphy of Campbellsville, the son of the late John Murphy and Ruby Daugherty Murphy, was born on April 23, 1942, and departed this life on Friday, March 15, 2024, at Green Hill Manor Nursing Home. He was 81 years of age.

He was of the Baptist Faith and was a retired employee of General Electric. He enjoyed woodworking, being outdoors, and hanging out with friends on their farms. He was a veteran having served his country honorably in the United States Army.

He united in marriage to Phyllis Faye McQueary Murphy and she preceded him in death on December 22, 2023.

He is survived by one son: Jarrod Shane Murphy of Campbellsville, and one sister: Donna Murphy of Campbellsville. Also surviving are special friends: Terry Walker and Dwayne Curry.

Besides his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by three brothers: James Murphy, Jerry Murphy, and Roger Murphy.

The funeral service for Joseph Rader Murphy will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at the L. R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel in Campbellsville with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.

The family requests visitation on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until the time for the service at the funeral home.

Paul Porter, 66

Paul Porter of Campbellsville, KY formerly of Larue County, KY, the son of the late Alfred Edward Porter and Goldie Barnes Porter, was born on February 26, 1958, and departed this life on Monday, March 11, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was 66 years of age.

He was of the Baptist Faith and was employed as a mechanic. He enjoyed racing, traveling to the Smokey Mountains, loved bears, being at the lake, and his dog Sugar.

He is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Newton Porter of Campbellsville. Also, surviving are three sons: Paul “PJ” Porter, Jr. of Campbellsville, Ronald Porter of Mt. Washington, and Donnie Porter of Columbia. Five grandchildren: Chelsie Rainwater (Daniel), Trey Porter and companion Abbi Smothers, Jacob Porter, Clayton Porter, and Jaylynn Porter. One great-grandson: Ryder.

One sister, Phyllis Ward of Elizabethtown also survives.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters: Ronnie Porter, Cathy Porter, Lois Johnson, and Linda Hornback.

The funeral service for Paul Porter will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at the L. R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel in Campbellsville with burial to follow in the Jones Chapel Cemetery.

The family requests visitation on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until the time for the service at the funeral home.

Memorial donations are suggested to be to the Funeral Expense Fund and may be made at the funeral home.

Terry Lee Underwood, 60

Terry Lee Underwood, of Campbellsville, the son of the late Shelby Dean Underwood and Mary Lois Franklin Underwood, was born June 28, 1963, in Campbellsville, and departed this life on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 60 years of age.

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist Faith. He was an employee of Cox Interior.

He is survived by one brother: Jimmy Underwood of Campbellsville, several nieces and nephews, and an uncle.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Donna Kay Creason

There will be a funeral service for Terry Lee Underwood on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bro. Mark Freeman will officiate.

The family requests visitation on Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 11: 00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Ola Mae Waymon, of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late Callie James and Anna Ellen (Cox) Miller, was born March 31, 1930 in Casey County, KY and departed this life on March 2, 2024 in Greensburg at the Green Hill Nursing and Rehab. She was 93 years of age.

She was a former employee of Campbellsville Laundry, a house cleaner, and was of the Church of God Faith.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Odell Waymon; two sons: Larry Waymon and Don Waymon; two brothers and a sister: Otis Arvin Miller, Kenneth Eugene Miller and Hazel Ann Isenberg.

Survivors include a sister: Ruby Geraldine Isenburg; two grandchildren: Charles Waymon and Natasha Akers; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law: Joyce Waymon and Pat Waymon, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Ola Mae Waymon was laid to rest on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

L.R. Petty Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Patricia Mae Wooley, 65

Patricia Mae Wooley, of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late Roy Wooley and Doris Bowman Wooley, was born March 1, 1959, in Campbellsville, and departed this life on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. She was 65 years of age.

She was of the Christian Faith and loved making jewelry, animals, fishing, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by one son: Michael Ray Powers (Marty) of Bardstown, and two grandchildren: Megan Sapp of Campbellsville, and Devin Powers of Bardstown. One great-granddaughter: Annalyse Sapp. Her companion of 20-plus years: Thomas Edwards of Campbellsville. Also surviving is one brother: Roy Wooley, Jr. of Liberty.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister: Tony Wooley, Gary Wooley, and Linda Wooley

There will be a funeral service for Patricia Mae Wooley on Friday, March 8, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at the L. R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel with entombment to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

The family requests visitation on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
