Janet Rae McNear, of Campbellsville, the daughter of the late William Damon McNear and Stella Lorene Benningfield McNear of Campbellsville, was born February 24, 1956, and departed this life on Sunday, December 24, 2023, at her residence. She was 67 years of age.
She was employed as a registered nurse for over forty years. She professed faith in Christ and attended the Campbellsville First United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts and shopping on-line.
She is survived by her mother, Stella Lorene Benningfield McNear, along with one sister and two brothers: Gail McNear Merritt and husband Gary of Campbellsville, William Greg McNear and wife Brenda of Campbellsville, and Alan McNear of Manhattan, NY along with a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A private graveside service was held on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Rev. Earl West officiated.

Wayne Parson, of Campbellsville, son of the late Gore Hayes Parson and Mazetta (Norris) Parson was born April 30, 1942 in Metcalfe Co, KY and departed this life on Saturday, December 30, 2023 in Campbellsville. He was 81 years of age.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Lebanon Methodist Church in Greensburg. He was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom having worked 33 years. He served Taylor County as a Constable for 20 plus years spending many of those doing traffic control for the Taylor Co. Schools. He was a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge. He was also a big fan of Rusty Wallace and NASCAR.
He is survived by one daughter: Kim Thompson and husband Greg of Campbellsville. Five grandchildren: Candace King and husband Chevy, Paige Cook and husband Daniel, Bailey Thompson, Tayler Thompson, and Chloe Thompson. Three great-grandchildren: Easton Cook, Enslee Cook, and Raylan King, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Also a special friend and caregiver, Lorie Keltner and husband Jimmie.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Dorothy Mae “Dot” Jenkins Parson, one son, Tim Parson, one brother and sister: Junior Parson, and Lois Kendall along with two sisters in infancy: Gladys Parson and Marcella Parson
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Wayne Parson on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Bro Daniel Cook will officiate.
The family requests visitation on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home
Memorials are suggested to be donations to Gideon Bibles and can be made at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Greg Thompson, Roy Parson, Jimmie Keltner, Wendell Lobb and Daniel Cook.

Leonard Guadalupe Salazar of Campbellsville, The son of the late Leonard Salazar and Teresa Marrufo Salazar of Oxnard, CA, was born January 20, 1962 in Santa Paula, CA and departed this life on Wednesday December 27, 2023 at his residence. He was 61 years of age.
He was of the Christian Faith and had worked as a Propulsion Development Mechanic for Aerojet Rocketdyne. He was a member of the Elks Club of Simi Valley, The KY Motorcycle Association, He loved golf, nascar, his dogs and spending time with family.
Besides his mother, Teresa Marrufo Salazar, he is survived by his wife, Cynthia Myers Salazar, having united in marriage on September 13, 2014.
Also surviving are two children: Trevor Salazar of Las Vegas, NV, and Alexis Mckeown and husband Sean of Ventura, CA.
One sister and two brothers: Nancy Ginn of Nebraska, Johnny Marrufo and Jonah Salazar both of California.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by one son: Steven Beaumont and one brother, Manuel Medina.
The family has chosen cremation and there will be no services.

John Walter “J.W.” Karnes, of Campbellsville, the son of the late Walter N. Karnes and Doris Ruth Shofner Karnes of Campbellsville, was born July 31, 1967 and departed this life on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 56 years of age.
He was a self-employed painter and loved and also enjoyed artwork. He was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his mother, Doris Ruth Shofner Karnes, along with four brothers: Darrell “D.L.” Karnes, Brian Karnes and wife Tasha all of Campbellsville, David Karnes of Texas, and Roger Karnes of Maine.
A niece and nephew Eli Karnes and Shelby Karnes both of Campbellsville.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. at the Otter Creek Cemetery.
Bro Freddy Thompson will officiate.

Mr. Jeffrey Alan Dicken of Campbellsville passed from this life on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was born in Taylor County on July 13, 1957 to the late Herbert and Sue (Wolford) Dicken, and was 66 years of age at the time of his passing. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was of the Christian faith.
He leaves to mourn his passing:
Two children: Daniel Dicken and wife Amanda, and Jeffrey Adam Dicken,
Two stepchildren: April Berry and husband Danny, and Jenny Ray,
Two brothers: Johnny Dicken and Richard “Duncan” Dicken and wife Brenda,
Seven grandchildren,
And a host of extended family members and friends.
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Dicken.
There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Dicken on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Interment will follow in the Lebanon National Cemetery, where full military honors will be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, Dec. 28, after 11:00 AM.
