Robert Lewis Smothers of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late Murrell Smothers and Hallie Russell Smothers Despain, was born in Campbellsville, KY, on April 20, 1958, and departed this life on Sunday, September 29, 2024, at his residence. He was 66 years of age.
He professed faith in Christ and of the Christian Faith. He was formerly employed as a grave digger until becoming disabled.
He is survived by his wife Patty Smothers of Campbellsville, and two children: a daughter, Latonya Schneider and husband John, and a son, Shannon Caldwell all of Columbia, KY. Three grandchildren: Corey Caldwell, Cheyenne Atwood, and Tyler Atwood. Four Great-grandchildren: Riley Simmons, Kinsley Atwood, Kayden Atwwod, and Colton Atwood.
Also surviving are one brother and three sisters: Gary Smothers (Vicki) of Russell Springs, Judy Smothers of Glasgow, Pat Dial (Roy) of Glasgow, and Jenna Fay Bottoms (Larry) of Summersville.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Danny Smothers.
The funeral for Robert Lewis Smothers will be Friday, October 4, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at the L. R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Caldwell Chapel Cemetery.
The family has requested visitation on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Carlos Eugene Trueblood, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, the son of the late William Joseph and Pattie Beradean (Jeffers) Trueblood, was born May 22, 1962 and departed this life on September 12, 2024 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. He was 62 years of age.
He was carpenter and mechanic and enjoyed fishing.
Besides his parent, he was preceded in death by a son: Carlos Eugene Trueblood, Jr.
Survivors include a daughter: Sunshine Marie Trueblood; four brother and two sisters: Joseph Leroy Trueblood, William Lee Trueblood, Lewis Aray Trueblood, David Eugene Trueblood, Kellie Gill (Trueblood) Simons and Elaine Lynn (Trueblood Holman and a host of other relatives and friends.
To honor his wished, cremation rites were conducted by the
L.R. Petty Funeral Home in Campbellsville.

Howard Lane Mayes, of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late William and Mary Frank (Wolford) Mayes, was born January 21, 1942 in Taylor County and departed this life on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 in Campbellsville at his home. He was 81 years of age.
He was a former employee of Caterpillar in Illinois and worked with HVAC for A1 Cooling in Campbellsville and was of the Christian Church Faith.
Howard enjoyed fishing, tinkering with cars and gardening.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Carlotta (Sanders) Mayes and a daughter: Deanna Marie Ramsey.
Survivors include three children: Keith Mayes and wife Carol and William “Billy” Mayes all of Campbellsville and Amanda “Mandy” Workman of Illinois; two sisters: Darlene Netherland of Campbellsville and Marsha Shrum of Paducah.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Howard Lane Mayes will be Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home with Interment in the Brookside Cemetery.

Steven Gene “Pork Chop” White of Campbellsville, KY, the son of the late Guy Gene White and Iona Lucille Parker White, was born in Campbellsville, KY, on December 5, 1955, and departed this life on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at his residence. He was 68 years of age.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Whites Ridge General Baptist Church. He was retired from the City of Campbellsville Sanitation Department. He was also a former school bus driver for Campbellsville Independent Schools as well as a truck driver for Fruit of The Loom and was a farmer. He enjoyed farming, tractor trading, fruit and vegetable markets, laughing, and a coloring book with good crayons.
He is survived by his loving wife Bonnie Walls White of Campbellsville, and one step-daughter: Katie Netherland of Campbellsville. Two sisters and one brother: Debbie Carlton and husband Marvin of Nebraska, Candace Wilson of Greensburg, and William White of Campbellsville.
Also surviving is a special uncle: Harold White and two chosen grandchildren: Caiden and Chloe and a niece, Summer Wilson.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Jason White and one sister: Vickie Strader.
The funeral for Steven Gene “Pork Chop” White will be Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. at the L. R. Petty Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Elk Horn Cemetery.
Bro. Dickie Rogers and Bro. Raymond Atwood will officiate.
The family has requested visitation on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, from 11:00 until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Sandra Sue “Sandy” Wright of Campbellsville, KY, the daughter of the late William Robert “Buck” Wright and Bobbye Sue Stegall Wright, was born on December 10, 1953, in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and departed this life on September 21, 2024, at her residence from complications from a recent surgery. She was 70 years of age.
She was a Licensed Massage Therapist and often worked with the jockeys at Keeneland. She loved decorating for Halloween, UK sports, and having a good time. She really enjoyed the tropical life, however, her favorite season was fall.
She is survived by one son: Chad Allen Fawcett and wife Sharonda of Glasgow, KY, and one grandson: Zach Fawcett also of Glasgow.
Also surviving are three brothers: Bill Wright and his wife Jane of Frostproof, FL, Mark Wright, and Matt Wright and his wife Tammy all of Campbellsville.
According to her wishes, cremation was chosen and services will be held privately at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home.
